Job Requirements
- High school diploma or similar
- Previous management experience a plus
- Valid/current OLCC and Food Handler’s Card or willingness to obtain prior to start date
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Capable of serving food and wine and standing for long periods of time
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and on-site winery events including holiday weekends such as Memorial Day and Thanksgiving
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with active listening abilities
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of experience managing a tasting room or restaurant
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Knowledge of wine, particularly Pinot Noir, and food pairing
- Ability to resolve conflicts and handle customer concerns professionally
- Proficiency in cash handling and administrative duties
- Effective communication skills and active listening abilities
Job Duties
- Serve guests by pouring wines for tastings, taking orders, providing information to help with wine and food selections, and promoting the sale of wine, wine club memberships, and non-wine products
- Resolve customer service issues and assist in overseeing front-of-house staff
- Serve as the Tasting Room Person in Charge (PIC) when the Tasting Room Manager is not present
- Open and close the Tasting Room when the manager is not present
- Handle cash and perform administrative tasks as requested by the General Manager
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely follow-through on issues
- Maintain active communication and customer engagement through attentive listening and personalized service
