Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business or related field preferred
  • 2 years or more of finance career progression
  • Experience supervising or directing staff members
  • Technical proficiency in Oracle and Hyperion
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Adaptable to time zone of the property
  • High speed internet service required for remote work - DSL, Cable, or Fiber-optic broadband only
  • Ability to provide certification of internet service upon request

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years or more of finance career progression
  • preferred experience in hospitality, retail, or related industry
  • Experience supervising or directing staff members
  • Technical proficiency in Oracle and Hyperion
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Adaptable to the time zone of the property
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Office, Oracle, Hyperion, Opera, iCaps, ARCs, BirchStreet, Kronos

Job Duties

  • Prepare and review all journal entries, month-end reports, and reconciliations
  • Review preliminary financial statements with Director of Finance
  • Participate in monthly financial reviews and support Director of Finance with the presentation of these reports
  • Supervise Finance and Procurement staff and the Information Technology functions of the hotel including coaching and counseling associates, interviewing, training, and evaluating performance of staff
  • Manage and help oversee hotel on and off-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting, and analysis for the hotel
  • Systems administration, G/L account reconciliations, budget preparations, inventories, monthly closings, and full P&L responsibility
  • Assist with managing and ensuring SOX compliance - monitor internal controls and implement corrective measures as needed
  • Manage the audit process and respond to auditor requests to ensure total hotel compliance
  • Help prepare all monthly and annual financial statements, investigate, review and analyze variance explanations, and manage cost controls and revenue enhancements
  • Support Director of Finance with special reporting and adhoc analysis
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
