Job Requirements

  • degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business or related field preferred
  • 2 years or more of finance career progression
  • experience supervising or directing staff members
  • technical proficiency in Oracle and Hyperion
  • clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • adaptable to the time zone of the property
  • high speed internet service required for remote work
  • broadband technologies allowed are DSL, Cable, and Fiber-Optic
  • cellular-based internet services are not allowed
  • ability to provide certification of internet service upon request

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years or more of finance career progression
  • preferred experience in hospitality, retail, or related industry
  • experience supervising or directing staff members
  • technical proficiency in Oracle and Hyperion
  • clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • adaptable to the time zone of the property
  • degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, Business or related field preferred
  • proficiency in Office, Oracle, Hyperion, Opera, iCaps, ARCs, BirchStreet, Kronos

Job Duties

  • prepare and review all journal entries, month-end reports, and reconciliations
  • review preliminary financial statements with Director of Finance
  • participate in monthly financial reviews and support Director of Finance with the presentation of these reports
  • supervise Finance and Procurement staff and the Information Technology functions of the hotel including coaching and counseling associates, interviewing, training, and evaluating performance of staff
  • manage and help oversee hotel on and off-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting, and analysis for the hotel
  • systems administration, G/L account reconciliations, budget preparations, inventories, monthly closings, and full P&L responsibility
  • assist with managing and ensuring SOX compliance, monitor internal controls and implement corrective measures as needed
  • manage the audit process, participate in and respond to auditor requests to ensure total hotel compliance
  • help prepare all monthly and annual financial statements, investigate, review and analyze the variance explanations involving department staff
  • support Director of Finance with special reporting and adhoc analysis
  • demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values
