Job Requirements
- Minimum two years of general management experience
- Hotel management, general business or marketing degree preferred
- Ability to deal professionally with management, associates, guests and the public
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including Internet and Microsoft Office programs
- Willingness to travel up to 90 percent of the time
- Strong initiative and desire for personal achievement
- Commitment to meeting and exceeding company goals
- Knowledge of Opera and Fosse systems preferred
Job Qualifications
- Hotel management, general business or marketing degree preferred
- Minimum two years of general management experience required, Hyatt/IHG Brand hotels preferred
- Ability to deal with management, associates, guest and general public in a professional, friendly, courteous, tactful and patient manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication, telephone and presentation skills
- Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Internet and Microsoft Office programs
- Proven ability to motivate new staff to top levels of performance
- Experience with Opera/Fosse
- Strong P and L and business acumen
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay as comfortable and accommodating as possible while achieving team and Brand goals
- Ensure that all policies, procedures, federal, state, and local ordinances with regard to personnel, security, cash handling, guest relations, and safety are followed
- Maintain and improve property standards and service to ensure guest satisfaction and the right public image
- Ensure that the property and its inventories are always in the best conditions
- Achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals, balancing cost with guest satisfaction
- Comply with all corporate human resources and accounting procedures
- Inspect property on a regular basis and enforce the implementation of actions toward the safety, comfort, and cleanliness of the hotel and guest satisfaction
- Ensure property hiring and all employee practices comply with company and legal requirements and strive for a culturally diverse work place
- Select, train, and direct department supervisors and other associates as necessary keeping them well versed in all policies and procedures
- Accompany Director of Sales on sales calls
- Become involved in community and/or government affairs
- Remain highly visible and be readily available for guests at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
