Job Requirements

  • Hotel management, general business or marketing degree preferred
  • Minimum two years of general management experience required
  • Willingness to travel 90% of the time
  • Strong initiative and desire for personal achievement
  • Ability to manage hotel operations, drive sales, and achieve customer and associate satisfaction
  • Compliance with all policies, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and computer proficiency
  • Ability to conduct property inspections regarding safety and standards

Job Qualifications

  • Hotel management, general business or marketing degree preferred
  • Minimum two years of general management experience required, Hyatt/IHG brand hotels preferred
  • Ability to deal with management, associates, guests and the general public in a professional, friendly, courteous, tactful, and patient manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, telephone and presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Internet and Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to motivate new staff to top levels of performance
  • Experience with Opera/Fosse systems
  • Strong P&L and business acumen

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay as comfortable and accommodating as possible while achieving team and Brand goals
  • Ensure that all policies, procedures, federal, state, and local ordinances with regard to personnel, security, cash handling, guest relations, and safety are followed
  • Maintain and improve property standards and service to ensure guest satisfaction and the right public image
  • Ensure that the property and its inventories are always in the best conditions
  • Achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals, balancing cost with guest satisfaction
  • Comply with all corporate human resources and accounting procedures
  • Inspect property on a regular basis and enforce actions toward guest safety, comfort, and cleanliness
  • Ensure property hiring and employee practices comply with company and legal requirements and strive for cultural diversity
  • Select, train, and direct department supervisors and associates, keeping them well versed in all policies
  • Accompany Director of Sales on sales calls
  • Become involved in community and government affairs
  • Remain highly visible and readily available for guests at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
