Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive hotel management experience
  • Experience working in extended stay hotel environments
  • Availability for extensive travel (85-90%)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and financial systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to comply with company policies and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Provide leadership and direction for hotels in the absence of General Manager or District Manager
  • Share Manager On Duty responsibilities during off hours
  • Perform daily management and sales duties to ensure optimum property operation
  • Work closely with regional leadership and corporate to identify areas needing coaching and mentoring
  • Demonstrate commitment to providing the best guest and employee experience
  • Coach and support property management and associates on customer service culture
  • Maximize revenues and EBITDA through effective direction and leadership
  • Provide training on operations systems including Medallia, ADP, Verian, and ESU
  • Monitor financial activities including collections, commissions, refunds, and reconciliations
  • Manage labor standards and expenses to achieve maximum profitability
  • Partner with Sales, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to implement sales and marketing activities
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and manage employees according to company standards
  • Handle employee personnel forms, performance evaluations, coaching, terminations, and payroll
  • Resolve guest issues in line with company goals
  • Participate in monthly inventory and manage purchases within budget
  • Communicate policies and procedures clearly to staff
  • Inspect property repairs and cleanliness
  • Assist management turnover for smooth transitions
  • Conduct internal audits and property reviews
  • Explore and address specific areas of concern as directed
  • Complete property assignments and projects on time
  • Travel extensively (85-90%) as required
