Job Requirements
- Must have experience as a Hotel Director of Finance in a decentralized accounting environment at a full-service hotel, closing the books down to cash
- 3-5 years Director of Finance experience within the Hotel/Resort Industry
- High school diploma required
- Degree in accounting, finance and/or similar field preferred
- Flexible with travel and available for on-site placement at hotel properties as needed
- Hands-on and able to manage monthly details as well as finance strategy
- Eager to help department heads manage costs through bottom-line training
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a Hotel Director of Finance in a decentralized accounting environment
- 3-5 years Director of Finance experience within the hotel/resort industry
- High school diploma required
- Degree in accounting, finance or similar field preferred
- Strong knowledge of hotel accounting principles and financial reporting
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Hands-on approach combined with strategic financial oversight
Job Duties
- Provide interim financial leadership at hotel properties during transition periods
- Maintain full control over accounting operations including month-end closing and financial reporting
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations ensuring compliance with company policies and USALI/GAAP standards
- Analyze hotel financial performance such as P&L, cash flow, and operating metrics
- Present financial insights to property and corporate leadership
- Train, mentor, and support property accounting teams for continuity and adherence to standards
- Implement and strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain audit readiness
