Job Requirements

  • Must have experience as a Hotel Director of Finance in a decentralized accounting environment at a full-service hotel, closing the books down to cash
  • 3-5 years Director of Finance experience within the Hotel/Resort Industry
  • High school diploma required
  • Degree in accounting, finance and/or similar field preferred
  • Flexible with travel and available for on-site placement at hotel properties as needed
  • Hands-on and able to manage monthly details as well as finance strategy
  • Eager to help department heads manage costs through bottom-line training

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a Hotel Director of Finance in a decentralized accounting environment
  • 3-5 years Director of Finance experience within the hotel/resort industry
  • High school diploma required
  • Degree in accounting, finance or similar field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hotel accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Hands-on approach combined with strategic financial oversight

Job Duties

  • Provide interim financial leadership at hotel properties during transition periods
  • Maintain full control over accounting operations including month-end closing and financial reporting
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations ensuring compliance with company policies and USALI/GAAP standards
  • Analyze hotel financial performance such as P&L, cash flow, and operating metrics
  • Present financial insights to property and corporate leadership
  • Train, mentor, and support property accounting teams for continuity and adherence to standards
  • Implement and strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain audit readiness
