Job Requirements

  • 3 years experience in human resources, management operations, or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from an accredited university in human resources, business administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in human resources, management operations, or related professional area
  • ability to work full time at renaissance dallas hotel location
  • eligibility for salary range between 67000 and 88000 annually
  • commitment to compliance with labor laws and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of recruitment and hiring best practices
  • experience managing employee development programs

  • ability to manage unemployment claims and workers compensation
  • strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • experience in maintaining confidential employee records

Job Duties

  • assist in the interviewing and hiring of human resource team members
  • establish and maintain contact with external recruitment sources
  • attend job fairs and document outreach efforts
  • network with local organizations to source candidates
  • oversee the candidate identification and selection process
  • provide subject matter expertise to property managers on selection procedures
  • partner with vendors to ensure effective advertisement of open positions
  • perform quality control on candidate selection
  • work with unemployment service providers to respond to claims
  • prepare and distribute unemployment claim reports
  • attend unemployment hearings and represent the property
  • ensure departmental resources are available for employee administration
  • support orientation programs and employee new hire training
  • ensure employees are cross-trained for daily operations
  • supervise ongoing training initiatives and conduct training as needed
  • coordinate new hire orientation to emphasize guest service culture
  • maintain effective employee communication channels
  • review progressive discipline documentation
  • address employee problems through an open door policy
  • escalate employee issues as needed
  • partner with loss prevention for accident investigations
  • communicate performance expectations
  • maintain employee files with required documentation
  • enforce compliance with privacy and medical record policies
  • facilitate drug testing processes
  • communicate property rules and safety policies regularly
  • conduct claims reviews to ensure timely closure
  • represent human resources at safety committee meetings
  • manage workers compensation claims
  • oversee selection and offer processes to ensure proper procedures
