Job Requirements

  • At least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-4 years of managerial experience in a culinary setting
  • Proven ability to develop and lead culinary teams
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and service
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3-4 years of experience in the direction and management of employees in a culinary environment
  • Experience assisting in creating dynamic, evolving, and seasonal savory menus
  • Preferred experience with startup/opening of hotels and restaurants
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
  • Thorough knowledge of food preparation techniques and food hygiene practices
  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Experience managing and developing teams
  • Results-driven leadership with creativity and strong execution skills
  • Ability to champion a vision and roadmap and attention to detail
  • Strong team player supporting ownership, accountability and responsibility
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent prioritization, time management, organizational and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated ability in process excellence and project management
  • Experience implementing new food and beverage concepts
  • Basic understanding of health and safety, food hygiene and employment legislation
  • Open availability and flexibility to meet business needs including some travel
  • Comfortable using Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Job Duties

  • Provide leadership to create a culture and work environment based upon respect
  • Provide opportunities for staff to learn, grow and develop their abilities through training and creating a positive, productive working environment
  • Oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve goals in food delivery, sales, costs, employee retention and guest satisfaction
  • Create dynamic menus for all outlets that evolve and change regularly
  • Develop recipes and contribute to the recipe database
  • Participate in developing annual budgets, marketing plans and objectives and manage within approved plans
  • Monitor and analyze kitchen cost centers' financial performance and contribution to profitability
  • Develop, implement, and monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, garnishing and presentation to ensure quality
  • Implement and maintain F&B marketing and other marketing activities and restaurant programming initiatives
  • Coordinate operations with other restaurant departments to ensure efficient service
  • Understand and adhere to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs for TableOne Hospitality
  • Fill in where needed to maintain guest service standards and efficient operations
  • Continually strive to develop staff in managerial and professional areas
  • Ensure timely completion of employee performance appraisals
  • Comply fully with federal, state, county and municipal regulations relating to health, safety and labor
  • Investigate and resolve guests' complaints regarding food quality, service or accommodation
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
  • Work independently and collaboratively with all leadership levels in a fast-paced environment
  • Be a team player with an enthusiastic outlook and creative mindset
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
