Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus seven years of experience in administration and management of casino Table Games operations
  • Preferred poker operations experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • No felony, theft, or stealing convictions
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • Must pass background investigation
  • Must obtain and maintain gaming license
  • Knowledge of all table games authorized in Arizona
  • Knowledge of public relations and customer service
  • Knowledge of problem solving techniques
  • Knowledge of new game implementation
  • Knowledge of casino floor operations
  • Knowledge of card game dealing
  • Knowledge of management techniques
  • Knowledge of security, surveillance and fraud detection techniques
  • Ability to supervise and train team members
  • Ability to develop budgets and monitor expenses
  • Ability to investigate and analyze information
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
  • Ability to run a department
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Skill in customer service and human relations
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to interpret written and oral instructions

Job Duties

  • Monitors and oversees Table Games and Poker operations including guest relations to achieve a cost effective and profitable department
  • Ensures team member and guest compliance with regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures
  • Reviews work schedules, payroll, and evaluations for all Table Games and Poker team members
  • Works with surveillance and security to implement proper security measures against cheating, scams, and illegal gambling devices
  • Oversees drop win reports to monitor for unusual fluctuations
  • Manages the Table Games Dealer school
  • Creates and monitors marketing promotions in conjunction with the Marketing department
  • Evaluates and monitors ongoing promotions to determine effectiveness
  • Demonstrates Desert Diamond Casino 'On Brand' behaviors towards team members and guests
  • Models company standards and leads by example
  • Displays, supports, and reinforces Desert Diamond Casino’s Spirit of Service Standards
  • Promotes an open atmosphere supporting skill enhancement
  • Responsible for annual forecasting and budgeting
  • Establishes and implements Internal Controls, Policies and Procedures, training manuals, and job descriptions with Human Resources
  • Adjusts table limits according to casino needs
  • Performs duties of subordinates as needed
  • Ensures team member awareness of Internal Controls
  • Maintains compliance with Casino and Departmental Policies and Procedures
  • Maintains a friendly and inviting atmosphere
  • Handles recruiting, training, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and termination of employees
  • Conducts bi-monthly team member meetings
  • Prepares monthly departmental reports
  • Ensures supplies are readily available
  • Contributes to team efforts to accomplish results
  • Reviews hold percent for reasonableness
  • Performs other duties as required
