Job Requirements

  • 6+ months experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities
  • valid driver’s license
  • current motor vehicle insurance
  • clean driving record
  • personal and reliable transportation
  • willingness to drive large program buses and vans
  • ability to complete required training within 3 months of employment
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • background check clearance upon hire

Job Qualifications

  • 6+ months experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities
  • ability to complete required training within 3 months of employment
  • valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • personal and reliable transportation
  • functional computer skills
  • ability to produce and review typed business letters, reports, and numerical records
  • willing to drive large program buses and vans and train others to do so

Job Duties

  • assist program coordinator with daily day program activities
  • plan and execute engaging activities both in-center and in the community
  • help individuals with personal hygiene care
  • support mobility including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • manage behavior and medical needs
  • promote social skills and communication
  • ensure safety and facilitate recreation and leisure activities
