Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of directly related management experience
  • Five or more years of acute care hospital management experience
  • Proven experience managing multi-unit foodservice operations
  • Direct operational management experience in foodservice
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office
  • ServSafe certification

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Nutrition, Technology, Management or related field
  • Five or more years of acute care hospital management experience
  • Experience in multi-unit foodservice management operations
  • Direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Experience with P&L accountability or contract-managed service
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, clients, customers and associates
  • Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, email and the internet
  • ServSafe® Certified
  • Certified Dietary Manager certificate or Registered Dietitian a plus

Job Duties

  • Ensure client and customer satisfaction with efficient cost-effective management
  • Manage all foodservice-related activities including patient care, retail, cafeteria, catering, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and hospital-related activities
  • Oversee systems and processes to meet strategic and operational objectives
  • Visit patients on assigned nursing units to ensure management or professional team interaction
  • Lead a team of directors within the system
  • Manage system budgets
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
