Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years full-time paid food service experience or completion of accredited college level coursework such as Introduction to School Food Service and ServeSafe Sanitation Program
- Ability to pass written and oral exams
- Ability to maintain personal cleanliness
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, associates, students and staff
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Two years full-time, paid food service experience or completion of accredited coursework such as Introduction to School Food Service and ServeSafe Sanitation Program
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of health and sanitation aspects of food handling and preparation
- Ability to learn to use and care for food preparation and service equipment
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to maintain personal cleanliness
- Ability to read, write and count accurately
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with supervisors, associates, students, and staff
- Operate compliant point of service and point of service computer terminal and/or roster
Job Duties
- Order, receive, store, reconstitute and distribute pre-packaged prepared lunches
- Supervise a small crew of Food Service Aides engaged in unpacking, heating, and serving meals
- Ensure sanitary conditions by cleaning equipment, kitchen, and serving areas
- Review student applications for meal categories and account for lunch tickets purchased and used
- Maintain accurate records of meals served and monies collected
- Prepare weekly operations reports
- Perform related duties as required
