Job Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- maintain a fun, energetic and professional attitude at all times
- prior restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory
- reliable and punctual with the ability to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- capable of wearing proper uniform standards including dress, makeup, hair, and jewelry
- ability to handle multiple tasks including answering phone calls, managing reservations, and assisting with guest seating
- commitment to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment
- willingness to assist in bussing tables during busy periods

Job Duties
- Greet and seat all guests in a hospitable, friendly, and timely manner
- handle all incoming telephone calls before the third ring using professional verbiage and a positive tone
- maintain a clean entrance area, hostess stand, and women’s restroom
- manage reservations system including seating within reservation times, quoting proper wait names, and avoiding over or under-booking
- escort guests to assigned tables while engaging in light conversation
- interact with guests and co-workers professionally and hospitably
- arrive on time for scheduled shifts ready to work
- wear proper uniform including dress, makeup, hair, and jewelry
- accept and book reservations properly
- offer alternative time slots when guest’s desired time is not available
- calculate, note, and quote accurate wait times
- offer the bar for cocktails and appetizers during extensive waits
- keep floors, entry, and aisles clean and free of debris
- assist in bussing tables during wait times or urgent needs
- provide guest right of way and assist guests with directions
- genuinely thank all departing guests and welcome arriving ones
- be familiar with restaurant information to answer guest questions and concerns
- answer all phone calls and fulfill guest needs, directing calls as necessary and communicating important information to managers
- be knowledgeable about daily menu additions, musical performances and cocktail or wine features for the evening
