Job Requirements

- Maintain a professional appearance including dress, makeup, hair, and jewelry
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work

Job Duties
- Greet and seat all guests in a hospitable, friendly, and timely manner
- Handle all incoming telephone calls before the third ring using professional verbiage and with a positive and uplifting tone
- Maintain a clean entrance area, hostess stand, and women's restroom
- Manage reservations system including seating within reservation times, quoting proper wait times when necessary, and avoiding over or under-booking
- Escort guests to the proper assigned table while engaging in light conversation and providing a hospitable start to their dining experience
- Interact with all guests and co-workers in a professional, hospitable, and friendly manner
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work
- Proper uniform should be worn at all times including dress, makeup, hair, and jewelry
- Properly accept and book reservations
- Offer alternative time slots or options when desired guest times are unavailable
- Calculate, note, and quote accurate wait times
- Offer the bar for cocktails and appetizers during extensive wait times
- Keep floors, entry, and aisle ways clean and free of debris
- Assist in bussing tables when needed
- Provide guest right of way and assist guests needing directions around the restaurant
- Thank all departing guests for dining, and welcome all guests joining
- Be familiar with all restaurant information to answer guest questions or concerns
- Answer all phone calls and fulfill guest needs
- Place calls on hold or direct to the proper department
- Communicate important information to managers
- Provide information on daily menu additions, musical performances, and cocktail or wine features for the evening
