Job Requirements
- Ability to greet and seat guests with friendliness and professionalism
- Effective communication skills including telephone etiquette
- Ability to manage reservations and wait times accurately
- Maintain cleanliness in entrance and hostess areas
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Adhere to uniform and grooming standards
- Provide excellent guest service and hospitality
- Be knowledgeable about restaurant operations and offerings
Job Qualifications
- Fun, energetic and professional attitude at all times while working
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Prior restaurant experience is desired but not required
Job Duties
- Greet and seat all guests in a hospitable, friendly, and timely manner
- Handle all incoming telephone calls before the third ring using professional verbiage and positive tone
- Maintain a clean entrance area, hostess stand, and women’s restroom
- Manage reservations system including seating within reservation times and quoting proper wait times
- Escort guests to assigned tables while engaging in light conversation
- Interact with guests and co-workers in a professional and friendly manner
- Assist in bussing tables when necessary
- Provide guest right of way and assist guests needing directions
- Calculate, note, and quote accurate wait times
- Offer the bar for cocktails and appetizers during extensive waits
- Be familiar with restaurant information to answer guest questions and concerns
