Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year leadership experience in operations, event coordination, guest services, or sustainability
  • Ability to walk, bend, reach, stoop, lift and carry over 50 pounds
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage time efficiently
  • Passionate about sustainability and environmental issues
  • Comfortable working in physically demanding roles

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year in a leadership role in operations, event coordination, guest services, or sustainability
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Excellent judgment, tact, and diplomacy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and execute programs
  • Time management skills and ability to excel in unstructured environments
  • Passion for environmental impact and sustainability

Job Duties

  • Participate in pre-season orientation and meetings with the national sustainability team
  • Attend scheduled 1-on-1 meetings with Regional Zero Waste Manager
  • Ensure zero waste operational procedures during venue setup
  • Drive hiring, training, and onboarding of Zero Waste Supervisors and Coordinators
  • Deploy sustainability communication and engagement assets for training
  • Provide regular updates and recognize staff progress
  • Integrate sustainability into venue operations and collaborate with marketing and experience teams
  • Design and implement comprehensive zero waste plans with measurable goals
  • Oversee sorting processes for recycling, composting, reuse, and donations
  • Analyze venue infrastructure and waste flows for improvements
  • Manage waste operations on show and non-show days
  • Build partnerships with local vendors to enhance resource recovery
  • Create positive atmosphere in waste management areas
  • Track and report key sustainability metrics using digital tools
  • Acquire weight tickets and chain of custody receipts
  • Document operations with photos and visual reports
  • Complete post-season sustainability surveys
