Job Requirements

  • Valid food safety certification
  • minimum one year kitchen supervisor or management experience preferred
  • in-depth knowledge of kitchen operations
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • high level of maturity and punctuality
  • ability to educate and demonstrate both fundamental and advanced cooking skills
  • strong understanding of purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and stock rotation

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary education
  • experience in kitchen supervision or management
  • strong communication skills
  • knowledge of cost control and culinary teaching
  • guest contact experience
  • basic computer skills
  • organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Assume senior sushi sous chef responsibilities in his/her absence
  • manage sushi staff efficiently
  • ensure food is prepared, plated, and served properly
  • assist with menu planning and ordering
  • maintain food safety and hygiene standards
  • educate and demonstrate cooking skills to staff
  • oversee inventory control and stock rotation
