Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • basic knife skills
  • food handler’s permit or willingness to obtain
  • reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience as a line cook or in sushi preparation is preferred
  • knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Asian cuisine
  • ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • attention to detail and high standards of food quality
  • willingness to learn and take direction

Job Duties

  • connect with guests and team members to create a welcoming environment
  • adhere to recipes including menu knowledge, plating consistency, and portioning
  • fabricate sushi products maintaining yield standards
  • prepare and produce high-quality dishes with speed and accuracy
  • maintain a clean and organized work station following safety and sanitation protocols
  • multitask efficiently while moving seamlessly from one project to another
  • ensure food safety by wearing gloves, monitoring temperature logs, and adhering to labeling guidelines
