Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years or older
  • full-time availability including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • two or more years' experience as a prep or line cook
  • knowledge of food safety and quality assurance
  • ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • strong teamwork and leadership capabilities
  • willingness to learn and grow in a culinary leadership role

Job Qualifications

  • associate's or bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred
  • experience working in a multi-faceted food service facility such as a restaurant, hotel, country club, conference center, casino, or theme park preferred
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends

Job Duties

  • assist the sous chef in running the kitchen and managing employees, overseeing the operations in the absence of the sous chef
  • follow recipes and proper cooking techniques to ensure products are consistently prepared to showcase high standards and provide guests with unique meals
  • educate customers and employees on products, share knowledge to offer complete meal solutions and suggest preparation methods incorporating items from different departments
  • manage employee performance by providing resources, training, feedback, and development opportunities
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • ensure compliance with food safety and quality assurance standards
  • support the training and mentoring of new kitchen staff
