Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in a sushi cook or similar culinary role preferred
  • Ability to comply with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines
  • Must maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Good manual dexterity and knife skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous culinary or sushi preparation experience is helpful
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
  • Ability to follow established recipes and presentation standards
  • Strong knife skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

  • Positive attitude and genuine approach to hospitality

Job Duties

  • Reports to work on time as indicated on the work schedule
  • Uniform meets restaurant requirements and is maintained and cleaned
  • Practices positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts
  • Preps all food to ensure that all items are prepared according to company specifications, recipes, procedures, plate presentation, and quality standards
  • Ensures guests have a superior dining experience by correctly prepping food products
  • Displays proper food safety techniques in handling and preparation, including personal hygiene, hand washing, gloves, and knife skills
  • Maintains the highest degree of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety for the work area including prep tables, countertops, refrigeration units, floors, walls, and shelving
  • Knows emergency procedures for the restaurant
  • Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift
  • Immediately reports any unsafe condition, accident, or injury
