Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a sushi cook or similar role in a high-volume or fine dining environment
- basic knowledge of traditional and modern sushi preparation rice techniques and knife skills
- strong understanding of food safety hygiene and handling raw fish
- food safety certificate preferred in va
- ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- willingness to learn and grow
- ability to stand for extended periods
- comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- manual dexterity for knife work and delicate preparations
- hours wednesday-sunday 2-10pm

Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi including nigiri sashimi maki rolls and specialty items with precision and artistry
- ensure freshness and quality of all fish seafood rice and other ingredients
- work with Executive Chef Executive Sous Chef to create a fresh enticing menu that changes regularly for members
- maintain clean and organized workstations in compliance with health and safety regulations
- collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal and specialty sushi menus
- engage with guests when appropriate explaining dishes and accommodating special requests
- manage inventory levels monitor product rotation and minimize waste
- train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation and knife techniques
- uphold consistent portion sizes and presentation standards
