Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Sushi Cook or Sushi Chef in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Proficiency in sushi preparation techniques including knife skills, seafood handling, and sushi rolling
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare sushi and sashimi dishes according to established recipes and plating standards
  • Handle and portion seafood, including slicing, filleting, and cutting fish for sushi and sashimi
  • Ensure the freshness, quality, and proper storage of all seafood and ingredients used in sushi preparation
  • Follow recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in sushi preparation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including equipment, tools, and work surfaces
