Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in sushi preparation
  • Ability to work Thursday through Monday including evenings
  • Strong knife skills and sushi forming techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to arrive on time with proper uniform and positive attitude
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Willingness to participate in daily service and team meetings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in sushi preparation or similar culinary role preferred
  • Familiarity with Omakase style dining
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of proper hygiene and food safety standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and teamwork
  • Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation

Job Duties

  • Execute recipes set forth by the CDC or Sous Chef
  • Maintain and follow all systems within the kitchen
  • Follow detailed recipes and company standards
  • Participate in service daily including shift line ups, new menu rollouts, and evolving service and food standards
  • Demonstrate familiarity of Omakase style dining
  • Report to each shift on time and prepared to work with clean and neat proper uniform
  • Maintain sushi rice production and forming techniques in line with company standards
  • Follow soy sauce production methodology in line with company standards
  • Provide counter and guest service with an attitude of hospitality
  • Maintain fish storage and quality standards
  • Use generally accepted sushi techniques and company standards
  • Maintain clean and orderly prep and service station
  • Maintain inventory and report any broken items to the CDC or Sous Chef
  • Maintain a professional atmosphere with staff and supervisors inside
