Job Duties
- Provide the highest and most efficient level of hospitality service to our members
- Work in the designated sushi station as set by Sushi Chef and Head Chef
- Organize the assigned work area and efficiently put away orders
- Prepare and deliver the execution of food dishes within recommended time frames to meet Members expectations
- Operate kitchen equipment such as rice cooker, tempura fryer, ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
- Produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at the assigned work area
- Prepare and cook food items by the recipe and to specification
- Prepare ingredients for cooking including butchering, portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Prepare all menu items by following recipes and yield guide
- Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists
- Wash and put away fresh produce and prepare them according to recipe and recommended procedures
- Set-up the sushi station with the designated mise en place with appropriate portions
- Check supplies and prep lists and ensure all items are prepped timely
- Replenish service lines as needed and restock and prepare workstation for next shift
- Ensure all products are stored properly at appropriate levels
- Communicate assistance needed during busy periods and report incidents to appropriate chefs
- Serve food in proper portions on correct serving vessels
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, workstations, tools, knives and equipment
- Maintain correct portion size and quality to the Club's standards
- Minimize waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost
- Review status of work and follow-up actions with Sushi Chef before leaving
- Assist in providing on-the-job training and development of new cooks
- Assist other team members in kitchen when needed or perform assigned tasks by management
