Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience as a sushi cook in a high-volume high-quality sushi restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques including knife skills fish butchery rice preparation and plating
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices particularly with raw fish and seafood
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards
- Creativity and passion for sushi with a commitment to continuous learning and innovation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging experience for your team members and guests
- A willingness to learn and an openness to feedback coaching and mentorship
- Certification(s) to responsibly work in and create a safe and clean environment for food production and consumption (ie State Specific Food Handlers Card) is a bonus
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required
- The ability to legally work in the USA

Job Duties
- Develop your culinary skills and create food you’re proud of
- Uphold Earls’ standards through exceptional food production ensuring consistent quality control and safety
- Foster team collaboration by contributing to a connected and committed kitchen environment
- Take responsibility for the cleanliness and safety of your station maintaining high kitchen standards
- Express your passion for hospitality through excellent execution product knowledge and a commitment to the guest experience
- Prepare high-quality sushi dishes including nigiri sashimi rolls and specialty items ensuring top-tier presentation and taste
- Manage the sushi station maintaining cleanliness organization and adherence to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to refine menu offerings and introduce new ideas
- Monitor sushi ingredients ensuring freshness and minimizing waste
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed
