Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of professional sushi preparation experience in a restaurant or hotel setting
  • Valid Food Handler’s Certification required
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern sushi techniques
  • Strong knife and seafood handling skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, speed, and consistency under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and related menu items following established recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of raw and prepared ingredients, maintaining food safety and sanitation in compliance with health regulations
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering and receiving fresh sushi-grade fish and related products
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and work area
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure timely, consistent service
  • Follow all company food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines
  • Exhibit professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to culinary excellence
