Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Japanese cuisine
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Must be authorized to work in the country without restrictions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Japanese cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and presentation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Previous experience in a hotel or fine dining setting preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present high-quality sushi dishes including rolls sashimi and nigiri in accordance with restaurant standards
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh properly stored and prepped efficiently to meet service demands
  • Maintain a clean organized and sanitary workstation following all food safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new menu items and seasonal specials
  • Provide outstanding customer service accommodating special requests and dietary restrictions
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving supplies as needed
