Job Requirements
- previous experience as a sushi cook or sushi chef in a high-volume restaurant environment or sushi bar
- proficiency in sushi preparation techniques including knife skills seafood handling and sushi rolling
- knowledge of different types of fish seafood and sushi ingredients as well as sushi terminology and presentation styles
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- genuine love for culinary experiences and passion for Japanese cuisine
- natural team player comfortable working with a large team

- ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as required
Job Duties
- prepare sushi and sashimi dishes according to established recipes and plating standards
- handle and portion seafood including slicing filleting and cutting fish for sushi and sashimi
- ensure the freshness quality and proper storage of all seafood and ingredients used in sushi preparation
- follow recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in sushi preparation
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station including equipment tools and work surfaces
