Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in sushi preparation
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen
- Ability to use personal protective equipment properly
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Compliance with food safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Relevant experience in Japanese-style cooking
- Relevant experience working in a sushi restaurant
- Ability to follow recipes and portion controls accurately
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Follow standard preparation and cooking procedures as designated by manager or chef
- Follow all recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
- Coordinate delivery of foods within pre-set time standards
- Demonstrate product standards and recipe knowledge daily
- Set up, maintain side work, and close stations for scheduled shift including cleaning and prepping
- Prepare and plate station food items according to specifications and time limits
- Ensure safety and sanitation standards are maintained
