2 to 4 years of grocery or retail experience preferred
food handling license
ability to use in-store computer systems
ability to maintain knife grip for seafood preparation
ability to work in cool temperatures around 40°F
ability to meet company productivity standards
ability to work various shifts including nights and weekends
good communication skills

Job Duties

Assists the manager in meeting sales and profit projections through sushi preparation and adherence to company policies
works various shifts or days as assigned based on business needs
ensures sushi is prepared, handled, stocked, rotated, and merchandised for best results
safely operates department equipment including knives and sushi appliances
maintains proper knife grip to cut fish and seafood to specification
withstands working environments around 40°F
meets productivity standards
uses in-store computer and scanning equipment
weighs, prices, labels, organizes, and rotates sushi products per company standards
assists customers with special requests and questions
supports promotional activities within the store and department
maintains good communication with management and associates
performs other tasks as assigned by manager
