- food safety certification
- six months or more of similar or related experience
- ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- ability to do simple addition and subtraction

Job Duties
- provide prompt efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- smile and greet customers in a friendly manner whether the encounter takes place in the designated department or elsewhere in the store
- make an effort to learn customer names and address them by name whenever possible
- assist customers by escorting them to products securing products that are out of reach loading or unloading heavy items making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
- answer the telephone promptly when called upon and provide friendly helpful service to customers including taking customer orders
- take customer orders at the Chinese Express counter
- work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- review orders for the day
- understand and practice proper sanitation procedures and ensure the work area is always clean and neat
- review the status and appearance of food for freshness
- ensure an adequate food supply is ready and on hand and develop or follow a production list
- anticipate product needs for the department on a daily basis
- prepare finish and replenish product as necessary
- pull product from cooler or freezer for preparation
- check in product and put product away remove trash in a timely manner
- adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines
- report to work when scheduled and on time
