Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand or walk for a minimum of eight hours
- Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb and carry up to 25 pounds
- Experience working in upscale or high-volume culinary settings
- Basic understanding of purchasing and inventory management
- Effective communication in English
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience as a Sushi Chef in upscale or high-volume establishments
- Knowledge of food safety practices and standards
- Ability to prepare and plate sushi creatively
- Good communication skills in English
- Experience working in restaurants, bars, hotels, lounges, nightclubs or events
Job Duties
- Prepare sushi and related dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety measures are followed
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to coordinate orders and maintain timely delivery
- Manage inventory and purchasing of sushi ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi workstation
- Communicate effectively in English with team members
- Adapt to high-volume, fast-paced service environments
