Job Requirements

  • Food Handler's Permit (WA State) required prior to hire
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Stand for extended periods in a busy kitchen or sushi bar environment
  • Lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
  • Use hands and arms for repetitive chopping, rolling, and plating motions

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of sushi preparation experience preferred
  • Excellent knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and consistency under pressure
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills with both guests and team members
  • Food Handler's Permit (WA State) required prior to hire
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and other menu items according to company standards
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated according to FIFO practices
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with local health codes
  • Provide exceptional guest interaction at the sushi bar, offering menu suggestions and creating a memorable dining experience
  • Collaborate with kitchen and FOH teams to ensure smooth service flow
  • Assist with prep work, inventory, and restocking as needed
