Job Requirements

  • Sushi and Asian cookery experience required
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time schedules Monday through Thursday
  • Knowledge of corporate, state, and federal food safety standards
  • Ability to maintain sanitation and food safety compliance
  • Capability to perform physical tasks including proper lifting techniques
  • Willingness to adhere to company safety policies including use of cut gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in sushi and Asian cookery
  • High-level knife skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures including ServSafe
  • Ability to work both full-time and part-time schedules
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a high-paced environment
  • Compliance with safety protocols and proper use of protective gear

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present sushi and related food products to customers
  • Demonstrate high-level knife skills and sushi preparation techniques
  • Store foods following corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ensure proper food handling, portion control, presentation, and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and workstations
  • Interact with customers to explain menu items and enhance dining experience
  • Keep up with peak production and service hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned
