Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in sushi chef role
- Ability to work full-time, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, days may vary
- Must comply with corporate, state and federal food safety regulations
- Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
- Strong customer service skills
- Capability to handle peak production and service hours
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sushi preparation and presentation
- Proficiency in knife skills and Japanese culinary techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Experience working in fast-paced restaurant or catering environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Offer a unique combination of restaurant, catering and special event experience to customers
- Demonstrate high-level knife skills and special skills associated with sushi preparation, production and presentation
- Store foods in designated areas following corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintain sanitation of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
- Interact with customers to enhance dining experience by explaining menu items accurately
- Keep up with peak production and service hours
