Job Requirements

  • Previous sushi experience is required
  • ability to work full time Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • must comply with all company policies and procedures including food safety guidelines
  • must use medium weight cut gloves when handling knives and other sharp tools
  • must use oven mitts or gloves when handling hot pans
  • must wear slip-resistant shoes and use proper lifting techniques

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present sushi and related food products to customers
  • demonstrate high-level knife skills and special skills associated with sushi preparation, production, and presentation
  • store foods in designated areas following corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation of all equipment, supplies, and utensils within work area, clean workstation thoroughly before leaving the area, keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • interact with customers to enhance dining experience and accurately explain daily menu items
  • keep up with peak production and service hours
  • perform other duties as assigned
