Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of previous sushi chef or related culinary experience preferred
  • ability to work part-time Monday through Friday with variable hours
  • compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • capability to maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • excellent communication skills for customer interaction
  • ability to perform physical tasks related to food preparation
  • eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of related sushi preparation experience
  • strong knife skills specific to sushi production
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to interact professionally with customers
  • experience in restaurant, catering, or special event food preparation
  • ability to handle peak service times efficiently
  • clear understanding of menu items and presentation standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present sushi and related food products to customers
  • demonstrate high-level knife skills and sushi preparation techniques
  • store foods in designated areas following all safety and sanitation procedures
  • ensure proper food handling, portion control, serving temperatures, and presentation
  • maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • clean workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • interact with customers to enhance dining experience and explain menu items
  • keep up with peak production and service hours
  • perform other duties as assigned
