Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a sushi chef or food preparation role
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift and move kitchen equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of sushi types including nigiri sashimi maki and speciality rolls with a focus on presentation
  • Follow traditional sushi-making techniques
  • Prepare all food items on a station
  • Produce final dishes that meet the chef's standards for guests
  • Maintain a clean work space that is safe to prepare food
  • Keep walk-in and reach-in coolers clean and organized
  • Keep dry storage clean and organized
  • Take care of trash and floors
  • Adhere to strict hygiene
