Job Requirements
- Must have at least 1 full year of experience as a sushi chef
- must have valid California Food Handlers Card
- must be 18 years of age or older to apply
- must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of experience as a sushi chef
- valid California Food Handlers Card
- knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi dishes including maki rolls, nigiri, and sashimi
- handle and prepare raw fish and other ingredients safely and hygienically
- ensure all sushi ingredients are fresh and of high quality
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
- collaborate with kitchen staff to meet customer demands and ensure timely service
- comply with health and safety regulations
- assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
