Job Requirements

  • At least one to two years of experience as a sushi cook
  • basic knowledge of sushi preparation and recipes
  • culinary degree preferred
  • hotel kitchen experience preferred
  • ability to work full time
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • good communication skills
  • able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Good communication skills
  • minimum three years of previous line experience preferred
  • culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • ability to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills
  • able to work multiple stations in the kitchen
  • requires moderate supervision and training

Job Duties

  • Prepare sushi and related menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
  • monitor food freshness and quality to ensure guest satisfaction
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate food preparation and service
  • manage inventory and requisition supplies as needed
  • ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • assist in training junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques
