Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of related sushi chef experience
  • Proficiency in high-level knife skills and sushi preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules

Job Duties

  • Offer a unique combination of restaurant, catering and special event experience to customers
  • Demonstrate high-level knife skills and special skills associated with sushi preparation, production and presentation
  • Store foods in designated areas following corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation of all equipment, supplies and utensils within the work area
  • Clean the workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service to assure compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe, safety, OSHA, production and merchandising requirements
  • Interact with customers to enhance dining experience and explain daily menu items
  • Keep up with peak production and service hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned
