Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of culinary experience or formal training preferred
  • Passion for Japanese cuisine
  • Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and organized food handling
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen tasks including standing for extended periods and handling kitchen tools

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary experience in sushi preparation or formal culinary training
  • Strong passion for Japanese cuisine
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in high-volume or guest-facing kitchen environments preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare fresh vegetables and perfect sushi rice at the Roll Station
  • Break down fish, master nigiri preparation, create omakase dishes, and interact with guests at the Front Station
  • Coordinate orders and craft sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi at the Wheel Station
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to deliver excellent guest experiences
  • Manage workspace organization and adhere to food handling protocols
  • Engage proactively in team activities and continuous learning opportunities
