Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years of previous sushi experience preferred
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- Must be available to work full time, Monday through Friday morning shifts
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to comply with all company safety policies including use of gloves and slip-resistant shoes
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Minimum five years of sushi preparation experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Proficient in high-level knife skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced catering environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Flexibility to work morning shifts Monday through Friday
Job Duties
- Prepare and present sushi and related food products to customers
- Demonstrate high-level knife skills and special skills associated with sushi prep, production and presentation
- Store foods in designated areas following corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintain sanitation of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
- Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- Interact with customers to enhance dining experience and explain menu items
- Keep up with peak production and service hours
- Perform other duties as assigned
