Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least five years of previous sushi experience preferred
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Must be available to work full time, Monday through Friday morning shifts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Willingness to comply with all company safety policies including use of gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of sushi preparation experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Proficient in high-level knife skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced catering environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Flexibility to work morning shifts Monday through Friday

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present sushi and related food products to customers
  • Demonstrate high-level knife skills and special skills associated with sushi prep, production and presentation
  • Store foods in designated areas following corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • Interact with customers to enhance dining experience and explain menu items
  • Keep up with peak production and service hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned
