Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Plan and develop menu items that highlight fresh ingredients and innovative flavor combinations
  • Ensure all food handling and preparation adhere to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
  • Manage inventory levels of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality control
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal specials and maintain consistency in dish presentation
  • Assist in training junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques, knife skills, and food safety procedures
  • Uphold high standards of customer service by engaging with guests when appropriate and accommodating special dietary requests
