Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Plan and develop menu items that highlight fresh ingredients and innovative flavor combinations
- Ensure all food handling and preparation adhere to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality control
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal specials and maintain consistency in dish presentation
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques, knife skills, and food safety procedures
- Uphold high standards of customer service by engaging with guests when appropriate and accommodating special dietary requests
