Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hy-Vee food safety training
- Food Safety Certified
- one to three years of similar or related work experience
- prior experience in meal preparation preferred
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- ability to stand and perform repetitive motions
- willingness to work under pressure
- willingness to adhere to company policies and safety standards

Job Duties
- Prepares fresh sushi for customers both packaged and made-to-order
- provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- makes an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name
- answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service including taking product orders
- assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading/unloading heavy items, making note of customer suggestions
- works with co-workers as a team and provides training
- understands and practices proper sanitation procedures
- involved in schedules and overseeing food ordering and planning
- communicates to customers regarding food and preparation
- aids in merchandising techniques and food layout
- attends company and industry meetings
- adheres to company policies and reports to work on time
