Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience preferably in sushi preparation
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force frequently
  • Valid Food Handler Card
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a sushi cook or higher
  • Ability to maintain and follow recipes, processes and standards
  • Possession of valid Food Handler Card
  • Valid documentation of the right to work in the U.S
  • Drive and ambition with a desire to learn and grow
  • Full ownership of your role

Job Duties

  • Maintain food quality and standards ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Maintain standards of safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen
  • Follow recipes in line with SUSHI SAMBA standards
  • Comply with company procedures, recipes and presentation to maximize productivity and profitability
  • Execute dishes in a timely and efficient manner to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Liaise with restaurant manager and service staff regarding service issues
