Job Duties

  • Acknowledge, greet, and engage all guests
  • prepare various finfish, shellfish, and fresh produce items for sushi
  • prepare, test, and maintain food safety records for sushi rice
  • assemble, package, and label sushi, sides, and spring rolls
  • assemble custom sushi rolls at customer request
  • train and assist other associates
  • comply with all Food City policies and government food safety standards
  • inspect and maintain product quality
  • monitor temperatures and shelf lives of ingredients and packages
  • maintain cleanliness of workstation and area
  • have complete knowledge of sushi menu and ingredients
  • market Food City Sushi Program via regular sampling
  • assist in ordering supplies to maintain inventory
  • maintain proper signage
  • communicate customer comments to Meat Department Manager
  • perform other assigned duties
