Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years culinary experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety practices
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • passion for Japanese cuisine
  • excellent teamwork skills
  • physical ability to stand and move during shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Passion for Japanese cuisine and eagerness to learn
  • culinary experience of 1-2 years preferred for sushi chef roles
  • familiarity with high-volume or guest-facing kitchen environments
  • formal culinary training is an advantage
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • commitment to food safety and cleanliness
  • ability to stay organized and engaged during shifts

Job Duties

  • Prepare fresh vegetable ingredients and perfect sushi rice at the Roll Station
  • craft nigiri, break down fish, and create omakase dishes at the Front Station while engaging with guests
  • coordinate orders and prepare sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi at the Wheel Station with precision
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • ensure food safety and follow proper handling procedures
  • collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • uphold fast-paced work environment efficiency while ensuring quality and presentation
