Job Requirements

  • Certification(s) to responsibly work in and create a safe and clean environment for food production and consumption (ie: state specific food handlers card)
  • The ability to legally work in the USA
  • 1+ years of experience in sushi preparation
  • Commitment to teamwork and supporting a positive work culture
  • Willingness to learn and receive feedback
  • Ability to maintain hygiene and comply with safety regulations

  • 1+ years experience producing high-quality sushi dishes
  • Management experience not required but is a plus
  • A passion for culinary experiences and a commitment to teamwork and fun
  • A commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging experience for team members and guests
  • A willingness to learn and an openness to feedback, coaching, and mentorship
  • Certification(s) to responsibly work in and create a safe and clean environment for food production and consumption (ie: state specific food handlers card)

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes as per Earls standards while upholding exceptional food preparation
  • Clean, filet, cut fish, prepare rice and vegetables for flawless execution
  • Plate and garnish each plate to perfection
  • Artfully arrange sushi on plates to enhance visual appeal including final touches such as garnishes and sauces to enhance flavor and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation
  • Ensure all food is stored and prepared according to health and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory and cost control
  • Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed while minimizing waste
  • Create authentic team connections that foster collaboration
  • Work closely with other kitchen partners to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
  • Train junior chefs and kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and safety standards
